Submission Guidelines



Sexy scientists. Cute computer programmers. Adorable gamer girls. Charming cosplayers. And everything in between!

“I < 3 Geeks” is a celebration of all those wonderful, attractive, and brainy geek guys and gals we love.

Wyrd Romance is looking for contemporary stories featuring geeky heroes and heroines for their upcoming anthology “I < 3 Geeks.”

Stories must be romance-centric with a HEA or HFN ending. Heat level may vary and writing must be strong.

Reprints will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Please specify in the body of your e-mail that your submission is a reprint and please list where the story has been published.


Formatting Your Submission:

  • RTF, DOC or DOCX files only. Any other file formats will not be accepted.
  • Double-spaced. Standard12 pt serif font. Times New Roman preferred.
  • Stories should be at least 3K in length but no longer than 20K.
  • Emphasis and foreign words may be underlined or italicized.
  • Include your name, pen name and contact e-mail on the first page of your submission.


Sending in Your Submission:

The body of your e-mail should include the following:

  • Your name and contact e-mail.
  • The name of the story you are submitting.
  • The length of your story.
  • A short but complete synopsis focusing on the characters’ goals and motivations, the major story events, climax and ending.


Deadline for submissions is September 10th (earlier is preferred)! They can be sent to Submissions [at] WyrdRomance [dot] com with the subject “I < 3 Geeks” or “I Heart Geeks.”


Fine Print:

Contributors will be paid the rate of $0.03 per word.

We ask for exclusive world electronic and print rights for one year.

What we cannot accept: pedophilia, necrophilia, bestiality, the use of certain bodily functions for sexual arousal, or characters and/or worlds that do not belong to you (i.e. no fan fiction of any sort. Characters can be fans of things like Doctor Who and Star Trek but cannot be Sarah Jane Smith or Captain Picard).
